What to wear to a BTS concert in 2026, from the queue to the encore
6 min read
For a BTS concert in 2026, wear something you can stand in for ten hours: a light base layer, one warmer piece you can tie around your waist, trainers you have already broken in and a small crossbody bag. Add one clear reference to the Arirang era, your bias or Borahae purple, and plan the outfit around your seat, the local weather and the long wait before the show.
Where the Arirang tour is in late 2026
The Arirang World Tour started on April 9, 2026 in Goyang and runs until March 2027. The European dates, Madrid, Brussels, London, Munich and Paris, ended in June and July, and there is no Italian date. In October the tour is in Latin America: Santiago de Chile on October 14, 16 and 17, then Buenos Aires on October 21, 23 and 24, before moving on to Brazil, Asia and, in 2027, Australia.
Dates that have not been announced yet are not known to anyone, so ignore rumours and follow the official channels. What you can plan right now is the outfit, and the smartest way to do it is to start from the practical questions, not the aesthetic ones.
Start with your ticket: floor or seats
Your ticket changes the outfit more than any theme. On the floor you will stand from the moment you enter until the last song, often packed close to other fans, with little room to take layers off. In the stands you can sit between songs, you have somewhere to put a jacket, and you will usually be further from the heat of the crowd.
A good rule: the closer you are to the stage, the lighter and simpler your outfit should be.
- Floor: a breathable tee or crop top, nothing bulky, a crossbody bag worn in front, closed shoes that protect your toes.
- Seats: you can wear a fuller look, like an oversized sweatshirt or an open shirt, because you can take it off and keep it on your lap.
- Either way: avoid anything that blocks the view of the person behind you, like tall hats or large hair accessories.
Dress for the whole day, not just the show
A stadium concert is rarely three hours. Many fans arrive early for the merch line or to meet friends, then queue at the gates, then wait inside for the show to start. Think of the day in three parts and make sure the outfit works in all of them.
In the afternoon you want sun protection and comfort: a cap, sunglasses, a light layer. At night the temperature can drop quickly in an open-air stadium, especially in spring. After the show, the walk to transport and the ride home can take longer than the concert itself, and a warm, dry layer suddenly becomes the most precious thing you own.
- Base layer: cotton tee or crop top that feels good after hours of sweat.
- Middle layer: a sweatshirt, a hoodie or an open shirt you can tie around your waist.
- Outer layer, only if the forecast needs it: a thin rain jacket that folds into your bag.
- Shoes: trainers you have worn at least a few times, never a new pair.
Weather by leg of the tour
In October, Santiago and Buenos Aires are in spring. Days can be pleasant, but evenings are noticeably cooler, so the sweatshirt-around-the-waist trick is made for these shows. Check the forecast a few days before, because spring weather can change fast.
For the Asian and Australian dates, the climate depends a lot on the city and the month, and some dates may still be unconfirmed. When your date is announced, look up the average temperature for that week rather than guessing, and plan your layers from there. If you are travelling from Europe, remember that the seasons in the southern hemisphere are reversed.
Add one reference, not ten
Once the practical side is solved, choose one idea and let it carry the outfit. A single strong reference looks better in photos and is easier to wear for hours than a mix of every era.
Purple is the safest choice. V coined Borahae at a fan meeting on November 13, 2016, joining bora, purple, and saranghae, I love you: purple is the last colour of the rainbow, so it means a love that lasts a long time. You can also wear the current era, Arirang, the fifth studio album released on March 20, 2026 with the single SWIM, or build the look around your bias with a name, initials or a song he made his own.
- Easy: black or denim base plus one purple piece, like a bag, a scarf or a cap.
- Era: one top with an Arirang reference and everything else neutral.
- Bias: a piece with his initials or a solo song, worn with what you already own.
What to leave at home
Some choices look great at home and turn against you after hour four. These are the ones fans regret most often.
- Heels, platforms you have never worn for a full day, or brand-new boots.
- Large backpacks or bags: many venues have strict bag rules, so read your venue's rules before you leave.
- Heavy coats on the floor, where you will have nowhere to put them.
- Anything delicate you would cry about if it got a spilled drink or a stain.
- Costumes with wide or rigid parts that take up space next to other fans.
