BTS Gifts for ARMY: Ideas Full of Fandom References

5 min read

The BTS gifts ARMY treasure most are the ones packed with references only the fandom understands: purple for Borahae, sets of seven for OT7, a lyric from a favourite song or a keepsake from the Arirang year. Pick one reference that matches the person, build the gift around it and add a note that explains why you chose it.

Why references beat a big logo

Anyone can buy a mug with a band's name on it. What makes an ARMY light up is a gift that proves you have been listening: the colour they always choose, the song they sent you at two in the morning, the member whose initials are on their phone case. The fandom has its own language, and a gift that speaks it feels personal even when it costs very little.

So before you shop, collect three clues. Who is their bias, the member they love most? Which song or era do they come back to? And are they an OT7 fan, who loves all seven equally? With those answers, every idea below becomes easy to adapt.

Purple gifts for the Borahae romantic

Borahae, or I purple you, is the most loved word in the fandom. V coined it at a fan meeting on November 13, 2016, joining bora, purple, with saranghae, I love you. Purple is the last colour of the rainbow, so the phrase means a love that lasts a long time. That is why ARMY fill their lives with purple, and why a purple gift never needs explaining.

  • A bunch of purple flowers, like lilac tulips or lavender, with a card that only says I purple you.
  • Purple stationery: a notebook, gel pens, washi tape for their journal or photocard binder.
  • A small purple accessory they will use daily, like a scarf, a phone strap or a hair clip.
  • A handwritten letter in purple ink, the cheapest gift on this list and often the one they keep longest.

Seven of everything for an OT7 fan

OT7 stands for one true seven: all seven members together, nobody left out. For an OT7 fan, the number seven itself becomes a symbol, and it is a lovely way to shape a gift.

Try a box of seven small things, one per member: seven chocolates, seven lyric cards, seven tiny notes with a memory each. Or make a playlist with one solo song per member, from RM's Wildflower and Jin's The Astronaut to Jung Kook's Seven, a title that could not fit better. Tell them which song you picked for each member and why: that conversation is part of the gift.

Lyrics and eras: gifts built around one song

Many ARMY can name the exact song that got them through a hard year. If you know it, build the gift around it. A favourite line, written out by hand and framed, costs almost nothing and means a lot. A song can also guide a bigger present: a piece of clothing or a bag that carries its title, so the reference travels with them every day.

Some songs are especially loved as gifts because of what they say. Serendipity, Jimin's solo intro from 2017, is about meeting someone as if it were destiny, which makes it perfect for a best friend. Wildflower, from RM's Indigo album, speaks to anyone who has chosen their own path. If you are not sure, ask a casual question like which song always makes you feel better, and listen carefully.

Keepsakes from the Arirang year

2026 is a year ARMY will remember. The fifth studio album, Arirang, came out on March 20, and the Arirang World Tour began on April 9 in Goyang. In Europe the shows in Madrid, Brussels, London, Munich and Paris took place in June and July, while from October the tour continues in Latin America and Asia before Australia in 2027.

If your ARMY went to a concert, help them keep the memory: a frame for the ticket and a printed photo of the night, or a scrapbook with space for wristbands and confetti. If they did not go, a gift tied to the album or the tour says that this year belongs to them too.

Embroidered gifts from our studio

If you would like a gift they can wear or carry, here are three pieces from Mima&Lulù⁷. We are two ARMY in Rome who design and embroider everything ourselves in Italy; our pieces are fanmade, inspired by BTS and not affiliated with BTS, HYBE or BigHit Music.

  • Arirang World Tour crossbody bag, from €38, 100% polyester with an adjustable strap: a souvenir of the year that also holds a phone and keys.
  • Serendipity oversized sweatshirt, from €44.90, for the friend you met as if by destiny, or for any Jimin fan.
  • Wildflower oversized sweatshirt, from €47.90, inspired by RM's song, with embroidery on both sleeves.

Dates to plan around in autumn 2026

Jimin turns 31 on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Jin turns 34 on Friday, December 4, Christmas Day falls on Friday, December 25, and V turns 31 on Wednesday, December 30. Every embroidered piece is ready in about 7 days after payment is confirmed, plus courier time, so for Jimin's birthday a homemade card or a playlist is the safer choice this week, while for December there is plenty of time if you order in November.

We ship worldwide, with free shipping in Italy over €89 and in the European Union over €119 of products; outside the EU there is no free shipping and delivery takes longer. Subscribers to our newsletter get 10% off their first order.
