BTS concert outfit ideas for the Arirang World Tour

5 min read

The best BTS concert outfits combine one clear reference, such as all-purple Borahae, your bias or the Arirang era, with clothes you can stand, queue and dance in for ten hours. Build the look in layers, keep shoes you have already broken in, and choose one statement piece rather than five. Below are six looks that work for any venue and any weather.

Before the look: three rules for concert day

A concert outfit has to survive a long day. Between the merch queue, the wait at the gates, the show and the trip home, you can easily spend ten hours on your feet. The fans who enjoy the night most are rarely the ones in the most elaborate outfit; they are the ones who are comfortable at midnight.

The Arirang World Tour, which began on April 9, 2026 in Goyang, continues in Latin America and Asia this autumn and reaches Australia in 2027, so ARMY will be dressing for very different climates. Check the official channels for the dates and rules of your venue, then plan around three simple rules.

  • One reference, not ten: a single strong idea reads better in photos than a mix of every era.
  • Layers over one heavy piece: a tee or crop top underneath, a sweatshirt or light jacket on top that you can tie around your waist.
  • Shoes you already know: new shoes and a stadium floor are a painful combination.

Look 1: all purple for Borahae

Purple is the colour of ARMY thanks to V, who coined Borahae at a fan meeting on November 13, 2016. The word joins bora, purple, and saranghae, I love you, and his explanation stuck: purple is the last colour of the rainbow, so it means a love that lasts a long time.

An all-purple outfit is the easiest way to feel part of the sea of fans. You do not need everything in the same shade: mix lilac, plum and deep violet, or keep the base black and add purple in one or two pieces, such as a scarf, a bag or a hair clip. It works for any gender and any style, from sporty to romantic.

Look 2: a tribute to your bias

If one member has your heart, build the look around him. The trick is to borrow his style rather than copy a stage costume, so you can actually move in it.

  • RM: earthy tones, wide trousers and a bucket hat, in the spirit of his love for nature and art.
  • Jin: a soft pastel knit or something playful, a nod to his sense of humour.
  • Suga: monochrome black, a cap and clean lines, very Agust D.
  • j-hope: streetwear, bright colours and a bucket hat, ready to dance.
  • Jimin: a fitted top or a satin shirt with something delicate, like a pearl necklace.
  • V: vintage pieces, a long coat and a beret if the weather allows.
  • Jung Kook: black jeans, a plain tee, a cap and a hoodie tied around the waist.

Look 3: the Arirang era

This is the tour of Arirang, the fifth studio album released on March 20, 2026 with the single SWIM. Dressing for the current era makes your outfit a souvenir of this exact moment: years from now, your photos will say which show you went to.

A tee or crop top with an Arirang reference is the simplest base. Wear it with wide-leg jeans or a skirt and an open shirt on top. If you like a theme, some fans add touches of water blue as a wink to SWIM, but keep it light: one accent is enough.

Look 4: group outfits with friends

Going with a group of friends opens up the most fun idea of all: coordinated outfits. With seven friends, each one takes a member. With fewer, choose a shared colour palette or the same era and let everyone interpret it in their own way.

Coordinated does not mean identical. Agree on one element, such as purple accessories or the same album reference, and leave the rest free. The photos at the gate will look great, and nobody ends up wearing something they hate.

Looks 5 and 6: all black or the cosy fan

Black is the most forgiving choice for a long day: it hides dust and spilled drinks and suits every era with a darker concept, from Blood Sweat & Tears to Mic Drop. Add one shiny detail, such as a chain belt or a metallic bag, so it does not read as plain everyday clothing.

The cosy fan look is for those who value comfort above everything: an oversized sweatshirt with a bias reference, leggings or loose jeans and chunky trainers. It is ideal for evening shows and cool nights, and the sweatshirt doubles as a pillow on the train home.

FAQ

What colour should I wear to a BTS concert?

Purple is the classic choice, because of Borahae, the word V coined in 2016. Black with one purple accent works too.

What shoes are best for a BTS concert?

Trainers you have already worn several times. You will stand for hours, so comfort matters more than style.

Can I wear a costume to a BTS concert?

You can, but a look inspired by a member or an era is more comfortable. Check the venue rules on bags and accessories first.

Is Mima&Lulù⁷ licensed BTS tour merch?

No. We make fanmade embroidered pieces inspired by BTS, embroidered in Italy, not affiliated with BTS, HYBE or BigHit Music.
