V birthday gift ideas for the Taehyung fan in your life

V's birthday: the dates you need

Kim Taehyung, known on stage as V, was born on December 30, 1995, so on Wednesday, December 30, 2026 he turns 31. Celebrations start at midnight Korean time, which is 4pm on December 29 in central Europe and 3pm in the UK, when birthday hashtags, fan art and video edits flood social media.

His is the last BTS birthday of the year. It closes a December that opens with Jin's birthday on the 4th and runs through Christmas, which makes it a busy month for any ARMY. It is also a special year: all seven members had completed their military service by June 2025, the fifth studio album Arirang came out on March 20, 2026, and the Arirang World Tour, which started in April, is still running in December.

For the fan who knows every note of his solo music

V's voice is low, warm and unmistakable, and his solo work leans towards jazz, soul and quiet late-night moods. A fan who loves that side of him will appreciate gifts that let them live inside the music a little longer.

If you are not sure what they already own, ask a mutual friend before buying an album: collectors often have several versions and know exactly which one is missing.

• Layover, his first solo album from 2023, with Slow Dancing, Love Me Again and Rainy Days, if it is missing from their shelf.
• A small jazz record or a ticket to a live jazz night: he has often spoken about his love of jazz, and it is a thoughtful way to share his taste.
• A handwritten lyric card with a line from Winter Bear, Christmas Tree or Inner Child, framed or tucked into a card.
• A winter playlist you build yourself, starting with Winter Bear and Christmas Tree, the soundtrack he released in December 2021, and shared with a QR code inside the card.

For the art and photography lover

Taehyung has talked many times about painting, museums and photography, and plenty of fans have picked up a camera or started visiting galleries because of him. These gifts work even for someone who already has every album.

The common thread is time and attention rather than price: a gallery afternoon planned around their favourite artist says more than an expensive object picked in a hurry.

• Tickets to an exhibition near you, ideally one you can visit together during the holidays.
• A disposable or instant camera with a few rolls of film, for a photo walk on his birthday.
• A sketchbook or a small set of watercolours, for the fan who draws or always says they want to start.
• A printed photo book of your best moments together as friends and fellow ARMY.

For the Borahae romantic

On November 13, 2016, at a fan meeting, V said Borahae for the first time, joining bora, purple, and saranghae, I love you. Purple is the last colour of the rainbow, so it means a love that lasts a long time. In English, ARMY say I purple you, and the colour has belonged to the fandom ever since.

That makes purple the easiest way to point a gift towards him. Purple flowers on December 30, a purple candle on the cake, a cosy purple scarf or a notebook with I purple you written on the first page in your own handwriting all say happy birthday, Taehyung without needing a single photo of him.

Embroidered gifts for a Taehyung fan

If you would like to give something they can wear all winter, Mima&Lulù⁷ has two V pieces in our Bias Collection. We are two ARMY in Rome, and we design and embroider every piece ourselves; our designs are fanmade, inspired by BTS and not affiliated with BTS, HYBE or BigHit Music.

Both come in sizes S to 2XL with embroidered cuffs. An oversize fit is forgiving if you are guessing their size, and the bag has no size at all.

• THV - Kim Taehyung, oversize sweatshirt or t-shirt, from €34.90: the t-shirt is 100% cotton, the sweatshirt 50% cotton and 50% polyester.
• KTH - Kim Taehyung, oversize sweatshirt with his initials in 50% cotton and 50% polyester, from €44.90, a warm pick for the end of the year.
• For a fan who loves all seven, the Arirang World Tour crossbody bag, from €38, in 100% polyester with an adjustable strap.

Ordering in time for December 30

Every piece is ready in about 7 days from payment confirmation, plus the courier's delivery time. You choose the courier and the price at checkout, with delivery to your door or to a pickup point. We ship worldwide, but the days between Christmas and New Year are the slowest of the year for couriers, so treat Christmas as your real deadline and order by the end of November.

Shipping is free in Italy on orders over €89 and in the European Union over €119; outside the EU there is no free shipping. Signing up to our newsletter gives you 10% off your first order, handy if you are buying for his birthday and Christmas at the same time.
